SEPA Presents:

Motivation, Team Building and Cohesion

Year-end can be a very stressful time for payroll professionals.  Keeping your team together and focused on a common goal is critical to your department's success at year-end and throughout the year.  Join us for a presentation by Dr. Lois A. Butcher-Poffley on Motivation, Team Building and Cohesion.

Dr. Butcher-Poffley has her M.Ed. and PhD. in sport and exercise psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she is currently an Assistant Professor in the Kinesiology Department.  She is a Certified Consultant through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (CC-AASP), and a member of the United States Olympic Committee’s Sport Psychology Registry. Her consulting practice includes performance enhancement work with musicians, singers, and dancers. As a sport psychology consultant, she has worked with coaches and their staffs, and athletes of all ages and skill levels, individually and in teams. Clients include Olympic, NCAA Division I and Division III, and USGF nationally ranked athletes.

Dr. B has also worked extensively in gymnastics as both psychological skills trainer and dance coach. She has been a workshop presenter and speaker at national and international conferences for sport psychology and health care; and has also been part of two grant programs to help obese children in disadvantaged neighborhoods.

Dinner Selection

Dinner will be your choice of Cabernet Braised Short Rib or Roasted Pork Lion with Apple Cider Marinade and will include salad, dessert and coffee.  If you have special dietary needs, please contact Sharon at vicepresident@sepaapa.org.

Please remember that if your membership is due for renewal, you must first renew your membership online before you will be able to register at the member rate.  Membership renewal is located in the Membership section of the SEPA website.

Registration for this event will close as of February 4, 2013 or earlier if registration reaches room capacity.  Walk-ins cannot be guaranteed a seat and will only be allowed into the event at the chapter's discretion based on available accommodations.

Community Outreach

Our Community Outreach project for the February meeting will be a monetary collection for the National Brain Tumor Society.  We ask that each member donate at least one dollar, up to whatever amount you like.

The National Brain Tumor Society is the largest non-profit organization dedicated to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure for people living the a brain tumor today and those who will be diagnosed tomorrow.  Each year over 210,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with a primary or metastatic brain tumor.  Brain tumors are the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children under the age of 20.

Thank you for your Support!
